An Evening of Hope and Inspiration

On November 13, 2011 Rosedale ID presented the second annual "Evening of Hope and Inspiration" at the McGlohon Theatre. More than 500 people were in attendance and we raised $7,500 for the Jeanne White Ginder Food Pantry, which assists clients at Rosedale and around the committee. Words cannot explain our gratitude for all who were involved in the production and all who attended! We were able to link our message of compassionate care and understanding to faith and inspiration through a night of prayer, music, and fellowship.
This year's event featured a concert headlined by one of country gospels' favorite family acts, The Martins. Their last homerun took place amidst years of winning seasons which took them from the regional church platforms of Arkansas to the major leagues of Gaither Homecoming stages, Carnegie Hall, The Grand Ole Opry, and The White House. We last heard from the multiple Dove decorated/GRAMMY-nominated trio of siblings on their career retrospective Decade, an homage to the trio's unmistakable harmonies and vast annals that have tastefully blurred the lines between southern Gospel, Inspirational, and contemporary Christian music. One of those surprises includes their working with producer and multi-platinum selling Rascal Flatts member
Jay DeMarcus.
We were also very blessed to have St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church Choir join us as our opening act! Filled with so much spirit, they got all of us on our feet singing and clapping. This was definitely the perfect thing to get us all pumped for a night of inspiration and music. We send our thanks to them for joining us and hope they will join us again in the future.
In addition to a night filled with music, love, and praise, Rosedale ID had the opportunity to recognize community leaders with the Hope and Inspiration awards. Two very special individuals received awards for their ability to inspire hope and demonstrate through their lives and careers a willingness to give back to others. Through their works they also inspire others to make a difference in our community. The Inspiration Award went to Reverend Debbie Warren of Regional AIDS Interfaith Network for her 20 years of service to RAIN and the HIV
community. This year's Hope Award went to Tonia Bendickson, former WBTV anchor and Elevation Church Community Relations Director for her work.
